Thanksgiving feasts often leave us feeling full and sluggish, but don’t forget about your feet! They carry you through the holiday season, and it’s vital to keep them healthy. Here are simple tips to give your feet the care they deserve post-Thanksgiving:

1. Combat Swelling

Holiday indulgence can lead to swelling. Elevate your feet above heart level for 15-20 minutes daily to reduce inflammation. Compression socks can also help improve circulation.

2. Rehydrate Your Skin

Cold weather and festive footwear can dry out your feet. Moisturize daily with a thick cream, focusing on heels and soles, to prevent cracking.

3. Choose Supportive Shoes

Skip the slippers! Wear supportive footwear, especially if you’re shopping or walking off the extra pie. Proper arch support prevents foot pain and fatigue.

4. Stretch and Strengthen

Post-meal walks are great, but don’t forget foot stretches! Try toe scrunches, calf raises, and ankle rotations to strengthen muscles and improve flexibility.

5. Address Foot Pain Early

If you notice discomfort or pain, don’t ignore it. Common issues like plantar fasciitis can worsen without care. Visit a podiatrist for proper evaluation.

6. Keep Toenails Trimmed

With parties ahead, ensure toenails are neatly trimmed to avoid ingrown nails or infections.

Your feet work hard—reward them with extra attention this holiday season! A little care goes a long way toward keeping them strong and pain-free.
