How a Flat Foot Causes Bunions
It is no coincidence that people with severe bunions often also have a flat foot deformity. When the arch collapses, the foot rolls inward, and with every step the big toe is pushed further toward the midline of the body. Over time that repetitive force drives the bunion deformity forward. Treating the bunion without addressing the flat foot that is causing it is a common reason bunions come back.
